Icandy:Purple Eye Candy

July 22, 2009 layniloo

it’s me again just thought i ‘d put a another blog up, as i felt the urge to try another make up look .

..today im gonna do an intense purple eye look thats great for most eye colours and good for occasions where you wanna make a statement such as..clubbing, parties..perhaps a formal occasion depending on your outfit . so  here goes…

First as always I sweep a layer of neutral shadow all over the lid up to the eyebrows to act as a base.

SDC10753Then i use my black shadowstick (*after warming up in my hands for a few mins to make the application smoother & easier) on my lower eyelid to give the powder something to latch onto and the dark colour is important to make the colour pop!!

SDC10755when you have applied the shadowstick to both eyelids  get a small eye applicator and apply a vibrant mauvy purple colour to your lower eyelids until the colour is bright and covers the lower eyelid .

SDC10760after this is done its time to apply a light lilac colour to the inner corners of your eye only go as far as the begining of the iris ,  with a small eye make up applicator , this helps to really open up the eye .

SDC10761SDC10766After you’ve completed this you can grab another applicator this time with a little more length to add a bright shade of dark purple to the crease above your lower eyelid, use a swishing motion to your crease to make the colour stay put .

SDC10767after you have applied most of your purple its time for some definition !!add a mocha brown colour of eyeshadow near the crease where you last applied the dark purple shadow but just a cinch higher up!

SDC10771SDC10776this helps the colour pop more and gives it a touch more of a smoky edge , after wards grab an aplicator brush a sweep white eyeshadow just under the eyebrow to act as a highlighter  to help blend all the colours and open up your eyes .

SDC10777next line the lower lash line with blue liner , quite thickly.

Next use an applicator to blend dark purple eyeshadow along the line of eye liner to add depth & defintion.

SDC10782Next I applied rimmel black liquid liner on the lower eyelid with a slight flick to add a flirty & feminine feel.

If you struggle to apply eyeliner in a straight line I find resting your elbow on a flat surface whilst applying usually helps with t’old shaky hands.

SDC10788After that part is complete it’s time to add the all important lashes , you can use mascara in black or falsies its up to you.

Perhaps on very fair people black may be too harsh so Brown Mascara may be suitable, but impacting lashes is really key to the look.

And You’re Set!!!!!!!!
